The opening BreakthroughBio program will focus on biotechnology and medical devices in the United States and will be operated by MassChallenge Boston. Selected companies will gain access to specialists, clinical and commercial settings, and potential partners. These connections are often essential when a promising laboratory result has to become a product that can be tested in real conditions. The cohort is deliberately limited so that the support can remain practical.
A pilot tests the company as well as the product
An overseas pilot evaluates more than technology. It exposes whether a startup can manage regulation, data protection, service, contracts, and communication with a large institution. This operating layer often determines whether a demonstration can lead to repeat sales. Published conditions say applications must be submitted online by noon Israel time on August 24, 2026. The package includes a research and development funding application and the company pitch deck. Participation does not guarantee a contract. It provides a structured opportunity to collect feedback, adapt the product, and prepare evidence that later customers or investors will expect to see.

Czech hospitals, research teams, and manufacturers can follow programs of this kind as a map of technologies seeking European validation.
